Colored PencilsAs an artist, my goal is quite simple, explore the world around me and express what I see and feel the best way I know how.

My materials of choice have changed.  I used to do the bulk of my work in pen and ink with washes or watercolor.  I’ve discovered a whole new approach with colored pencils and have fallen in love with the medium.

Colored pencil is very time intensive, but with it I can move toward the realism I enjoy capturing in my work.  And it has also refueled my first love, which is the faithful graphite pencil.
