Another Beautiful Day!
It’s in the 50’s again in southern Michigan.
Blue skies…… nice.
I stopped into one of our local MickyD’s and tried out a new specialty coffee. Not bad. Not sure it’s as good as a Starbucks, but then I haven’t had one of those for some time. Guess I’m not the right person to be doing critiques of the gourmet coffee world.
So, while sipping my high calorie cup of coffee, I did a sketch of the table and chair across the way. This is in my note-keeping moleskin with a micro pen and colored pencils.
They have such strange little chairs in these places. They really don’t turn very far. I’m not a fan. Nice little sketch break though.
Have a grand day!

Charming sketch and quite good values – and I agree about the coffee comments 😉
And a very nice sketch, too! I can smell the coffee now.
Also really like your tree ACEO drawing from the previous post. You get so much in those small spaces! Just wonderful. Hope the art fair goes well.

Sketchbreaks are always great fun. Looks like you made good use of yours!
Thanks you for your comments; Sandy, Ann and Karen. It’s always fun to take sketchbreaks…
Wow, what a talent you have! I’d never seen your sites, your work is amazing. I like your figure drawing, but also the still life(s), your sketches here, everything. I’m adding you in my blogroll. Best wishes, MartÃn.
Thank you so much, Martin, for your kind comments. I’m honored to be added to your list. I need to get busy with mine, hopefully this weekend! Thanks again!!
I really love your work. Wonderful spontaneous sketch. I am not much of a coffee lover though I will have my occasional latte. Absolutely agree with you on the chair: How ever came up with this stuff?
Lovely work, Dee! I’m not a fan of those ‘fixed’ chairs that turn either. I always want to pull it in closer to the table. lol
Your sketch looks really great on that graph paper!
Thanks for stopping by, Ella, Serena, and Martha! It’s a delight to read all of your comments. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!!
